Privacy Policy
What this website collects, what it does not, and what happens to anything you send through it.
What this policy covers
This policy describes what the Law Office of Richard Cary Spivack does with information collected through queens-probatelawyer.com. It was last reviewed on 2026-09-30.
Who is responsible
The practice is operated by Richard Cary Spivack, Attorney at Law, at 118-21 Queens Boulevard, Suite 504, Forest Hills, New York 11375. Telephone (718) 544-1000. For any question about this policy, or about information you have submitted, use the contact form or call that number.
What this website collects
This site is built to collect as little as possible. Specifically:
- Nothing, unless you send it. There are no advertising trackers, no analytics scripts, no social media pixels, and no third-party cookies set by this website.
- No accounts. There is no login, no newsletter database, and no saved profile. There is no subscription form on this site.
- No sensitive-data fields. The contact form does not ask for Social Security numbers, medical information, account numbers, or payment details, and those should not be sent through it.
The one external resource this site can load is an OpenStreetMap map on the contact page, which is only requested if the map element becomes visible. That request necessarily discloses your IP address and browser information to OpenStreetMap, whose own privacy policy then applies.
Information you submit through the contact form
If you send a message, the practice receives the name, email address, telephone number, preferred contact method and message text you typed. That information is used for one purpose: to respond to you about your enquiry.
It is treated as confidential. It is not sold, not shared, and not used for marketing. It is not written into this website’s own data store, and it is not used to build any list.
Server logs
Like any web server, the host serving this site keeps technical logs — IP address, timestamp, requested path, and user agent — for the purpose of operating and securing the service. Those logs are not combined with anything you submit through the form, are not used to build a profile of you, and are retained only for as long as the host needs them for security purposes.
Form submissions are rate-limited to prevent abuse. Rate-limiting data is held in server memory for the length of a short window and then discarded; it contains no message content.
Cookies
This website sets no cookies of its own and reads none. There are no preference cookies, no consent banner, and nothing to accept or reject, because there is nothing to consent to.
Links to other sites
This site links to a small number of external resources, including the official BBB business profile, the Office of Court Administration’s public attorney registry, map services, and occasionally court websites. Those sites have their own privacy practices and are not governed by this policy. Once you follow a link, you are on someone else’s site.
Confidentiality and your information security
Communication with a law firm is confidential, and the attorney–client privilege depends on that confidentiality. But two practical limits should be stated plainly. First, do not use an unsecured or shared device to send anything sensitive. Second, email and ordinary web forms are not end-to-end encrypted against interception in transit, so no sensitive material should be sent by those routes. If your matter is delicate, call and ask for a secure method.
Nothing sent through this website creates an attorney–client relationship. One is formed only when the practice agrees to take the matter and you accept that arrangement.
Data retention
Enquiries that do not become matters are retained only as long as the practice considers them potentially relevant, and are then deleted. Where an enquiry becomes a matter, the file is retained as a matter of professional obligation, for as long as the practice is required to keep it.
Your choices
You may ask what information the practice holds about you, ask for a copy, or ask for it to be deleted, subject to the practice’s professional retention obligations. Call (718) 544-1000 and ask for Richard.
You may also decline to provide any information through this website at all. Nothing on this site requires you to submit anything, and the telephone number is the fastest route to the office.
Third-party trust information
Links to the Better Business Bureau, Martindale-Hubbell and New York attorney registry pass to those organisations, which may set their own cookies and have their own policies. They are independent third parties and this policy does not extend to them.
Children
This website is not directed at children and collects nothing from them knowingly.
Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated as the website changes. The review date at the top of this page always reflects the current version.
